There’s something special about gathering around a Texas BBQ with sweet friends. ❤️
Today Charlie and I are hosting a BBQ feast filled with smoky pulled pork, tender ribs, and all the classic sides—made with love and shared with some of my favorite people. These kinds of meals have a way of bringing everyone closer, creating laughter, stories, and memories that linger long after the last bite.
Because the best gatherings aren’t just about the food—they’re about the joy of being together around the table.

Freshly picked peaches from a local Peach Orchard are slowly transforming into my Caramelized Peach Preserves using my Viking Copper Clad cookware from Sur La Rable. Two days of gently caramelizing the peaches brings out their rich, deep flavor before they’re tucked into jars and sealed with a hot water bath to preserve the taste of summer. There’s something special about preserving the harvest. Each jar holds more than peaches—it holds the sweetness of the season, memories made in the kitchen, and the joy of sharing homemade goodness with family and friends. I’m sharing my recipe below. I hope it inspires you to savor the simple blessings of summer and make memories with the ones you love. 🍑💕 11 pounds of fresh peaches, peeled, seeded, quartered 4 cups granulated sugar Juice of 1 fresh lemon Place peeled peaches in a tall stockpot. Pour sugar over peaches and gently mix. Allow mixture to rest for 30 minutes, giving a stir every 10 minutes or so. Uncovered, bring peach mixture to a slight boil and simmer for 10 minutes turn the heat off and allow to cool to room temperature. Repeat the boil prices a total of 5 times. Process in a water both for 15 minutes. Use clean, sterilized and hit jars with new seals. After the 15 minutes of water processing, turn the heat off and let the jars rest in the hot water for 5 more minutes. Remove jars and cool completely. Check lids for complete sealing after 24 hours of rest. My cookbook, Miss Carroll’s Kitchen, filled with devotionals, is available online at Walmart, Amazon and Barnes and Noble. If you are local, reach out to me-I have a few at home. #TheKitchenTable #SurLaTablePartner #SummerRecipes Shop my storefront at https://thekitchentable.surlatable.com/a/miss.carrolls.kitchen @Sur La Table #TheKitchenTable

Making my homemade chicken salad, a recipe straight from the pages of Miss Carroll’s Kitchen. Served alongside my homemade foldover rolls, deviled eggs, and fresh fruit, it was a simple meal filled with comfort, hospitality, and gratitude.
I loved preparing this meal with some of my favorite Sur La Table tools and cookware—a Lodge cast iron skillet for the toasting of pecans, Wüsthof chef and serrated knives for effortless prep, and beautiful Sur La Table stoneware for both preparation and serving. Quality tools make time in the kitchen even more enjoyable.
There’s something special about gathering simple ingredients, creating a meal with care, and sharing it around the table. Good food, grateful hearts, and meaningful conversation are some of life’s sweetest blessings.
Food, Faith, and Hospitality. ❤️

As the berries mingled with the tea, they added both vibrant color and fresh summer flavor. Simple ingredients, a few favorite kitchen tools, including my Sur La Table Boos cutting board, and a little time are often all it takes to make an ordinary day feel special.
